Can't help thinking Mike Pence is very interested in this case.

I won’t hear of Bourdain being anything but too pure for this world.

Um...awkward situation here for sure. Because the story is totally rapey.

I'm betting she will say Anthony also abused her during their relationship or that his maleness is why people aren't believing her regarding the settlement. If I'm not mistaken the victim can talk about his situation and not violate the agreement, if so I hope he does.

I hope it isn't the case Bourdain killed himself because he was wracked with guilt about paying someone off.

And if the allegation is true, it seems to me #metoo is more credible as a movement, rather than discredited.

#metoo is valid, I think the optics that this only happens to women aren't and the double standard with regard to how the accused were treated definitely stinks.

A lower profile case.

https://www.chronicle.com/article/Ba...tgrid_6_32ad_5

Quote:
... while she was his Ph.D. adviser, Ronell "repeatedly and forcefully" kissed, touched, and groped him. He said that he had been forced to schedule his life around her and that she had punished him when he wasn’t affectionate enough toward her.
In a title IX sense, she was found to have done something.
Quote:
After an 11-month investigation, she was found responsible for harassment but cleared of other charges, including sexual assault and stalking.
This is unusual.
Quote:
The case drew intense media coverage in part because it involved a woman accused of sexual harassment and because both Ronell and Reitman identify as gay.
Another twist.
Quote:
Much of the outrage over the controversy has focused on a draft letter that dozens of high-profile academics wrote to NYU’s president and provost, urging them to treat Ronell fairly.
...
Critics accused the letter’s signatories of creating a double standard for a woman accused of sexual harassment and of unfairly maligning the victim.

Now she is saying actual sex never happened and Bourdain told her to pay him off just to avoid embarrassment.
