Default AO Fantasy Pope - Draft Chat and Smack Talk Thread

Let the papal smack talk begin!

I'll start: Tarciso Bertone is a bum...he's totally overrated at #3.

He's on a lot of people's deep sleeper list.

Voted PJPXLII but I'm in. Can we make sweeping picks for unusual candidate groups, e.g., all women, all imams, all kids in the running to be the next Dalai Lama, all non-Dawkins atheists...?

I'm going to bet here like I would for UFC... taking the Brazilian young gun Sherer over the experienced, but not quite veteran Canadian Ouellet. For the record, the Canadian is quoted as saying becoming Pope "would be a nightmare".

I'm also putting down a $20 on Dolan... USA! USA! USA! It's not likely, but it'll be great if it pays off!

See attached file. There is a player pope universe on the second tab, but you are allowed to draft anyone, whether or not they are on that list.

Peter Turkson is making his move, and has squeezed past Ouellet to become the new favorite at 11/4!

I also learned a new word today! From his Wiki page:
Quote:
[Turkson] is widely regarded as papabile.

"Papabile" is OK, but if it was up to me the word would be "pope-y". As in, I can't figure out why Crescenzio Sepe is ranked so low on the draft board, that guy exudes popiness.
