Default Quick advice

Hey guys!

So I recently passed C in july and was thinking of writing MLC in October.
I've used ASM for all my prelims and was wondering if it'd be good for MLC as well.

I've already read half of the textbook, skipping exercices though.
Don't know what to do for practice, I usually get coaching but running low on funds atm.
Do you guys think going over ASM's exercices at the end of each lesson is good practice?
Any advice would be appreciated !

Thanks !

ASM exercises, the released SOA multiple choice and written answer questions, and the released SOA exams.
That should be a good start for you.

Firstly, congrats on passing exam C. I heard that exam is a beast but haven't had the chance to take it yet. As far as advice for MLC, I have a few pointers to offer. If you happen to sign up for CA adapt, you probably wouldn't have to go any harder than a level 4 or 5 exam. Since switching to the combination of WA/MC, most of the MC questions do not involve any heavy calculations. On the other hand, you must really know the fundamentals in order to score any points on WA. They have a tendency to ask "out of the box" questions which tie multiple subjects together and if you don't have a thorough understanding of all the concepts, it's easy to miss a lot of points because of it. Otherwise, good luck in October!

Any advice on which topics to focus on for the WA portion? I'm sitting this April and I'm close to starting practice exams.
