Default Better Call Saul (Breaking Bad Spin-off)

I just got an email about the premier date being set in stone for Sunday February 8th at 10/9c and I'm really excited. Anyone else planning on watching this?

I plan on giving it a shot... I'm not sure if it will live up to the memory of Breaking Bad, though. I expect it to catch a lot of flak for not being "gritty" enough and get canned after <1 season.

I can't imagine it being bad though if it's Vince Gilligan, I do have very high expectations though

I'm hoping it will be a great show about a slimy lawyer. Can't recall there ever being a show about that, and it's a great idea.

If people expect it to be a Breaking Bad prequel or sequel, and want it to fill the void left by Breaking Bad (impossible to fill IMO), I believe they will be disappointed.

to be clear, I think it will be good, but I expect a lot of disappointment expressed on the interweb about it if it isn't gangster-y enough for the common viewer.

I would suggest "Rake," it's an Australian show available on Netflix.
