Hey. just finished up EOM 4, would it be crazy for me to shoot for the sep 13 IA deadline?
btw, I'm a full-time student so I do have some free time but I also have homework and school stuff.

I'd say it's crazy... like a fox.

Okay really - If you can devote 8 hours a day to it you can probably pull it off, but you better start tonight and be prepared for a few days of misery. I know a handful of people who treated IA like FA and did the whole thing in 4 days as practice, so it's definitely doable.

Also, think about the fact that you're wagering something like $600... When I was a full-time student that would have been non-trivial, but IDK what your situation is.

i wouldn't do it, but good luck.

as for doing IA in 4 days as practice, yeah, some smarties probably did that, but FA is far more doable in 4 days than IA is imo.

oh, i'm looking at the timeline, your only motivation to submit it before 9/13 is to have a 2nd shot at it before the real deadline of 11/11 for IA? yeah, i definitely wouldn't torture myself for that. IA isn't that difficult. you could easily pass it on one shot. but giving yourself only 8 days to do it seems like needless torture and also giving yourself a greater chance of not passing it on the first shot anyway.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll just take it slowly. Do you have any [general] advice when doing IA? What should I pay attention to in answering the questions?

It's a lot of money for me as well so I'm debating.

Speaking of which, does IA refer to material from the modules? Or is it just like a stand-alone project?

I found the online search feature of the actex manual to be extremely helpful for my passing IA on the first shot. Actex is expensive though unless you have an employer to foot the bill. I know that most people probably dont use actex to pass it and most people pass it. I also used all the books and referred to the modules themselves for IA. I dont think I'm allowed to get specific beyond saying yes the modules are relevant to IA and it's not just a stand-alone project.

Update: MMR on 9/14. I was so scared to open that email. I'm glad that anxiety is over (until FA)
