I might be in if I pass MAS-I.
What material are you guys using? I read the fall thread and saw recommendation for Mahler, Bedford and TIA.

I just sat for it and used solely TIA + past exams. I think it did a really good job of preparing me.

TIA is enough. Don't skip anything.

You should focus on getting to know ratemaking and reserving instead

Of course of course!

Is anyone skipping over MAS-II to take this? That exam seems like a dumpster fire right now.

It's probably a dumpster fire to those who don't have a firm grasp on the GLM material from MAS-I. I lucked out by passing C so now I just point and laugh

I meant the lack of study materials and CAS releasing the practice problems 2 weeks before the exam. Seems like a waste to sit for it now when there will be two full exams + online seminars by the Fall sitting.

Can't think that way, imo.

Reminds me of a Simpsons bit
Spoiler:

If you pass 1 exam you'll make more money, sooner. More money means you can buy a trip to Hawaii where you don't have to bring any suit other than a swimsuit. You also won't have to sit inside when you could be not sitting inside.

Sitting at 58 pts from the PAK for MAS-I so I feel pretty comfortable I passed and this is next on the list for me. I may try to bang out OC2 first though.

I plan on using TIA and since this is my first written exam I plan to give it a full 5 months of studying (so starting in December). What is everyone else's plan?
