Yes, looks like that would have been a winner. Good find.

I've defeated ImPretDumb, CynicalRealist, and actuaspire. Time control with tospeke is slower but we have a good game going.

I’ve finished all my games except one.

I beat agtuary on time:

[White "Tospeke (2015)"]
[Black "agtuary (1387)"]

1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3.Qxd4 Nc6 4.Qe3 Be7 5.Nc3 d6 6.Bd2 {Tospeke won on time}

In this one my opponent sacrificed a pawn for an attack, he made it complicated and made me think, but I managed to see through the complexity and simplified to a winning endgame.

[White "stupiddumbdumb (1608)"]
[Black "Tospeke (2041)"]

1.e4 d5 2.exd5 Qxd5 3.Nc3 Qd6 4.Bc4 Nf6 5.d3 a6 6.Nf3 b5 7.Bb3 Bb7 8.O-O e6 9.Be3 c5 10.a3 Be7 11.Ng5 O-O 12.Nge4 Qc6 13.Nxf6+ Bxf6 14.Qg4 Nd7 15.Ne4 Bxb2 16.Rab1 f5 17.Qh3 Bf6 18.Nxc5 Nxc5 19.Bxc5 Qxc5 20.Bxe6+ Kh8 21.Bxf5 h6 22.Qh5 Bd4 23.g4 Qd5 24.Be4 Qxh5 25.gxh5 Bxe4 26.dxe4 Rf3 {Tospeke won by resignation}

This one was interesting, I knew I could survive the piece sac 12. Nxe6 but missed that he could sac the bishop instead. He ended getting 3 pawns for the piece (and my king was not protected) which is an interesting imbalance. The computer said I had an edge, but it was complicated. The battle heated up and at a critical moment, my opponent timed out! The computer felt white was better in the final position, so I felt bad winning under these circumstances, but then I remembered when I played devilrox the first time, two seasons ago, I had a winning position but he found a tactic to checkmate me, and then I didn’t feel as bad.

[White "devilrox (1776)"]
[Black "Tospeke (2052)"]

1.e4 d5 2.exd5 Qxd5 3.Nc3 Qd8 4.Bc4 Bf5 5.Nf3 c6 6.O-O e6 7.d3 Bd6 8.Re1 Nf6 9.h3 h6 10.Be3 Nbd7 11.Nd4 Bg6 12.Bxe6 fxe6 13.Nxe6 Qc8 14.Nxg7 Kf7 15.Ne6 Bf5 16.Nf4 Rg8 17.Kh1 Ne5 18.Ne4 Bxe4 19.dxe4 Nxe4 20.Bxa7 Qf5 21.Qd4 Qxf4 22.Rxe4 Qg5 {Tospeke won on time}

In this one I got the opponent on an opening trick on move 11 that I learned many years ago but this is the first time I got to deploy it. I won a piece for a pawn and my opponent has the best defensive posture possible but I was able to trade off his important light squared Bishop using a tactic and then was able to establish a clear advantage.

[White "Tospeke (2102)"]
[Black "Cynical_Realist (1531)"]

1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.exd5 cxd5 4.Bd3 Nc6 5.c3 Nf6 6.Bf4 Bg4 7.Qb3 Qd7 8.Nd2 e6 9.Ngf3 Be7 10.Ne5 Nxe5 11.dxe5 a6 12.exf6 Bxf6 13.O-O O-O 14.h3 Bh5 15.Rae1 Rac8 16.Be5 Be7 17.f4 f6 18.Bd4 Bf7 19.Qc2 g6 20.Nf3 Kg7 21.Ng5 Kg8 22.Nxf7 Rxf7 23.Qe2 Rc6 24.a4 Bf8 25.b4 Bg7 26.b5 Rc8 27.Qxe6 Qd8 28.bxa6 {Tospeke won by resignation}

My last game is on move 23.

Just started playing on Lichess since they have unlimited training for free. Also started some of their chess deviations. Got a game of triple-check and atomic chess going on.

When I did 18.Nxc5, I missed seeing you moving your f6 bishop. 22...bd4 was the obvious move but I hadn't seen it. I figured I would have a lot more counter play otherwise. Though I was behind by move 18 anyway. Good game!

I stopped playing on lichess and switched back to chess.com. Not a really strong reason, but it is what it is.

I do love variants. Would play them often on lichess and play them correspondence style on schemingmind.com
