Default Fall 2018 Progress Thread

Thought I would start up a thread for the fall sitting. This will be my first FSA exam attempt. I'm using TIA as follows: reading the detailed study manual first, taking lots of notes along the way (mainly to buildup hand strength for the exam), and then finishing with the video lessons. I started studying about a month ago and am roughly 1/3 through my first pass. My main concern is the amount of material here compared to the prelims.

Anyone else started studying for the fall sitting? Probably only first attempt people since results have yet to be released for this past spring sitting.

Also I decided to go with TIA since I used them exclusively for all the prelims and was always impressed with their seminars. Although I have heard good things about the PAK and some other study materials out there so probably can't go wrong with any of them.

I wrote Spring 2018 and I've been continuing to study. This exam sucks.

*Edit: Nevermind, I thought I was in the LFV forums*

I'll be taking this exam for the first time this Fall. I haven't started studying, but will shortly. I also plan to use TIA. I've heard good things about PAK, but decided to stick with what I know.

I'm in. This will be my first FSA exam. Decided to use ACE study manual, seminar, and flashcards after very positive feedback from coworkers. Will be strange not having Dr. Weishaus guide me to success!

Checking in for Fall 2018.

Purchased the PAK Study Manual from Actex and the SOA study notes at the suggestion of a coworker.

I didn't have too many problems with the prelims we'll see how the FSA level exams go.

Thank you for your purchase. The FSA exams are very different from the prelims. Please be sure to follow our study schedule. If you start studying now, then you will have enough time to prepare yourself. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
