I planned to start an RIH thread, but i guess this will do.

I wonder how many others will be brought down by the details of his case. He had a lot of wealthy and powerful friends, including both Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.

think I read he made a last ditch effort to get out last month by offering to pay 600M in 'bail'.

pretty much "i will give you ALL of my money if you let me go".

when judge said no, im guessing this was the likely outcome.

why have him or really anyone else on suicide watch in prison? if they want to die, why not let him do it?

Well, part of jail is about restricting one's freedom and I guess that includes the freedom to commit suicide.

He had dirt on wealthy and famous people. They should have done a better job of keeping him alive until he testified.
