There's a thread in NAT (that should be in this subforum, IMO) that you might want to check out, it's been relatively active in the last few weeks.

Jamie Dimon basically just spelt the beginning of the end for Bitcoin as a form of currency.

As I have always stated: it is one gigantic ponzi scheme

I predict JPMorganChase will get a government bailout before cryptocurrencies die out.

I'm curious how you came to this conclusion. Claiming that bitcoin is a scam is like claiming that English is a scam or that toenails are a scam. It's just a technology, basically anyone can set up their own currency or whatever. Who in your mind is doing the scheming?

https://www.wsj.com/articles/goldman...oin-1506959128

Quote:
Goldman Sachs Group Inc. GS +1.45% is weighing a new trading operation dedicated to bitcoin and other digital currencies, the first blue-chip Wall Street firm preparing to deal directly in this burgeoning yet controversial market, according to people familiar with the matter.

Goldmanís effort is in its early stages and may not proceed, the people said. The firmís interest, though, could boost bitcoinís standing among investors and fuel the debate around digital currencies, which were initially viewed as havens for illicit activity but are pushing further into the mainstream investment world.

This thread has been surprisingly quiet these last few weeks, given the action in BTC and others. I'm holding a good amount of $ in BTC, I invested in September and am up nearly 400%
