I can vote!

C was the only exam that I finished early and was extremely confident with my answers. Oddly enough, I only studied for 2 months with little prior exposures. However, I went super hard during those two months studying everyday.

MFE > P > MLC > C > FM

MFE > P > MLC > C > FM
Someone still has C on the brain.

First exam and I hate probability. I was much more seasoned when I took C. I guess that was in my considerations.

can finally contribute

FM<<<<MFE<MLC<P<<<C

Couple caveats, because order is important.

P - first exam, don't think I knew how to study for these exams. may have made it seem harder than the material actually was. small syllabus, but tricky exam.
FM- second, found it to be extremely straightforward with a handful of ridiculously easy questions. small syllabus
C- demon exam. should not have passed, recommend students use every resource available to study for this test. lots of tricks and the material is disjointed.
MFE- hard exam, but straightforward. small syllabus but the questions can be deep.
MLC- the MC/WA combination is interesting. overall, a difficult exam with a large syllabus. however, the material is highly related and lot of the questions rely on intuition. this could be good or bad, depending on your learning style.

P<MFE<FM<C<MLC

Preparation and learning content aside, I am talking about the specific exam sittings I did. I know this might seem like a weird order, but:

FM was my first exam so I had not yet experienced the difficulty of these exams. I had guessed on about 5 questions out of the 35, so I felt pretty shaky about this one because I really didn't know what to expect.

MFE was my second exam. Obviously the material is harder to learn than FM's, but I had gotten a taste of what the prelims entail and I was 100% sure that I'd pass the exam WHILE I was doing it.

P was third, easy walk in the park. Was confident that I got all the problems correct.

Now...I took the same amount of time to prepare for C as I did for MLC. But after taking this Fall 2014 MLC (curveball of an exam) I definitely found the C exam easier than MLC. In terms of learning the material...I think they were on par. But this is taking into account the fact that when I had done C I had not been introduced to 90% of that material; despite taking two life contingency courses before, I still found my MLC exam hard (that exam was tricky. I did Spring and pretty much aced it)

Pretty weird that I had to guess more on FM than I did on C

Material-wise I thought C was pretty easy. The amount of stuff is the tough part, IMO.

Agreed. I will end up getting the highest score on C of any prelim (pretty confident on an 8 or 9 after just taking it) but it's also the only one I failed the first time. I failed strictly because I didn't spend enough time to cover the breadth of the material. Concept-wise, MLC was much harder, and much harder to find great exams questions. I was very lucky to pass it the first time (pure guessed on 8 of 25 and somehow passed).

MLC (old) > C > MFE > FM > P
