Have to second BigDawg; Course 2 was the hardest to me also. I actually thought M was harder than C, even thought I passed M on the first try but took two tries to pass C.

Another Course 2 hater here... That was the exam that cost me my first job, and stopped me from taking exams for about three years. Since restarting, I've gotten FM, MFE, and C, with C being obviously the toughest of those three. I'm just starting MLC studying now, so I'll check back in a month or two from now.

Remember the Course 2 sitting that had a 25% passrate in May of 2004? I think that's when the wheels fell off the "2000 system." I sat for the Fall 04 exam and was afraid of that exam because of that low pass rate. It was a doozie and I made it through.

I think it's difficult to argue that last sitting's MLC was as potent as last sitting's MFE. (And you can't just look at pass rates. Because then P truly would be the toughest exam. ) The only thing that might make MLC tougher *on average* would be its longetivity and scope.

The thing about MFE is that everyone (well a lot of people) are taking it lightly. Look at all the threads on here that ask whether people should double up on MFE and something else (FM or MLC). I think there are only a couple of hard topics in MFE, but they take a long time to master.

Ever since the SOA split M into MFE + MLC, neither exam by itself is harder than 4/C. Before the split, 3/M was probably the most difficult post-2000 course.

The reason I started this poll is because I find MLC stuff rather easy to understand and pick up but MFE blows my mind and it takes me several minutes to answer even the simplest question. Just wondering if I was the only one who thought it was hard.

fractl is right, however, this poll is probably completely irrelevant

I havent studied for C/4 yet but the manual looks scary at six inches thick.

Default MFE not too bad for me

MFE isnt too bad for me, but I am just starting Delta Hedging. I am zipping through the material. Too bad I didnt add MLC to my study schedule. Oh well, it is too late now.
