Sorry, wasn't at home tonight. Monday nights are almost always good for me, but it just so happened that this one and the last tourney didn't work out.

Event 4 MAJOR Results:
Code:
Place	AO ID Prize
1	IMP $140
2	LetsgoSU	$110
3	OddSox $0
4	glassy $0
5	cranialfury13	$0
Event 4 was our first Major event, with a $50 buy-in. Unfortunately we only managed to get 5 players involved last night, but there was no shortage of good times and interesting poker. With chip stacks starting at 5k instead of 3k, the first hour played deeper and less confrontational than usual, even considering the short-handed table. The tournament also featured OddSox's season debut.

The first all in was by me, as my stack dwindled to around 2300 or so and I pushed with a KJ, only to be called by cranialfury13's pocket deuces; I survived the race by pairing a king. As the new low stack, cf managed to win a pot or two before eventually making a big squeeze play all-in with pocket 6s after LetsgoSU raised pre-flop and me and IMP both called. It folded around to IMP who thought for a second and then called with pocket 8s. The 8s held up and cf would be the first elimination of the night. IMP enjoyed a series of great hands during the middle section of this tournament, building nearly triple the starting stack.

SU would be the next to find a short stack and raising blinds, but managed to double through OddSox when forced into a desperation all-in with 4-5 on the big blind. The flop gave SU two pair, and luck appeared to shift to that seat. A few hands later, I pushed in with A-5. SU woke up with pocket 8s in the big blind as that hand won its second big pot of the night, vaulting SU into second in chip count and sending me back to the bottom of the pack. OddSox would finish the job as I put in the rest of my chips with J-8 against A-3. The J-5-2 flop looked OK for me, but I felt the 4 coming on the turn and another one came on the river to drive home the point.

Now down to 3 players, the final big hand of the night would come on an A-4-5-2 board as OddSox and SU squared off. SU raised a small bet from OS on the turn, and once a 10 hit the river, OS pushed all-in with K-3 and the wheel. Unfortunately for OS, SU was sitting on 3-6 and made the insta-call and the knockout.

SU and IMP played a few hands right before the second break of the night hit, with IMP sitting at about 16k and SU at around 9k. After some discussion, they agreed to a $140/$110 chop, ending our fourth tournament.

The next tournament will be on Monday, November 5th @ 9ET/6PT. Hopefully we can draw a bigger field for this one - mark your calendars and see you then!

Thanks again, glassy. As usual, a fun game. And I couldn’t believe the cards I was getting. Of course, having AA in the BB and everyone folding kinda sucked. BTW, J9o and even J9s proved to be awesome! I really hope more folks join in the future.
