Unless your commute is unbearably long, I think the answer is obvious. Or you can just wear a T-shirt/undershirt on the commute, and put your dress shirt on when you arrive to work.

I like jeans regardless. I get some slight joint aches and I like tight fitting stuff like some jeans. Tight stuff makes the joints feel better somehow. I look better in business outfits but jeans are comfy.

I get to wear jeans while working outside when it's 99 degrees. No shorts allowed. Oh joy.
