Details of the summer 2018 Courses on Professionalism dates are now available

http://www.casact.org/admissions/index.cfm?fa=prof

Registration will likely open around January 20th.

We still have a few open seats for the DC course February 12-13.

Registration for the summer Courses on Professionalism will start this Monday, January 22nd for those with only one remaining exam; and on Wednesday, January 24th for everyone else eligible for the course.

More information here

http://www.casact.org/admissions/index.cfm?fa=cop

Note that in the past the Chicago course has filled up fairly quickly.

The course will be offered June 25-26 in both Chicago and Boston. In addition, a Toronto course for Canadian candidates will be June 11-12.

"Note: For this eligibility prerequisite, the actuarial exams are: Exams 1, 2, 3F and MAS-I (or transition credit by having Exam S), 4, 5, and 6."

Does this mean 3F+S counts as one exam?

I have 1, 2, 3F, S, 4, online course 2 and all of the VEE's. Am I eligible or do I need one more exam?

If that's your list then you have 4 exams & 3/4 non-exam requirements.

You are not eligible if you have not already registered. They recently (TODAY) changed the registration requirements.

The numbering on the site is also bad now.

The new requirements are:

1) 6 actuarial exams (3F + MAS-I = 1 exam or 3F + S = 1 exam) without regards to whatever else you've completed.

OR

2) 5 actuarial exams (3F + MAS-I = 1 exam or 3F + S = 1 exam) and 3 out of 4 non-exam requirements completed.

They basically added an extra exam to the requirement as of last Friday. So, you were eligible before this week but no longer are.

To clarify 3F does not count as a separate exam. I just have 5 & 6 left but taking 5 on May 3rd. I need to clarify since I thought 3F was counted as one exam.

What time does COP usually end on the 2nd day? Trying to determine the approximate time for the return flight.

I finished the e-modules we needed to do beforehand for the summer COP's. On the CAS website, it says "Additional pre readings will need to be completed in addition to the e-module requirement." I can't find anywhere what this is referring to. Does anyone know?
