It's fine if you're making burgers for a bunch of kids with half-formed taste buds, but you might as well just do a chant and shake an open bottle of garlic powder at the burgers imo

No garlic press or mincing in our household. We have two store-bought spice containers with "garlic" on the label, one is garlic powder and I think the other one might be minced.

I'm embarrassed I've wasted so much time hand mincing my garlic to make hamburgers.
Yep, I understand. No need to feel embarrassed. Just pretend you enjoyed the actual process or something. Or that you wanted to save a few bucks in the long run.

It's actually cheaper to buy the bottle stuff that's loaded with preservatives than it is to buy whole cloves and mince/press them, but believe whatever makes you feel good about your poor hamburger choices I guess.

i'll smash a clove on the cutting board with a knife to make it easier to remove the peel and then mince it on the board. saves some time in cutting. i love the smell of garlic sauteing in olive oil.
