Default Non-Actuarial Conferences

Which ones have you been to, and which ones have been valuable? I recently transitioned sub-disciplines within P/C and looked into going to an industry conference which is more client-focused. I haven't really found the CAS meetings to be overly useful, and even meetings like RPM are too broad for knowledge on a specific commercial segment.

The surplus lines insurers have an annual conference, as does i believe mutual insurers on the P&C side. Their may be AAA conferences or "Risk management" conferences which could be more in your wheelhouse. I'm not sure if independent/exclusive agents have conferences.

Have you googled the specific commercial segment you're interested in?

I've been to PIAA (now MPLA) annual meeting. It was mostly useful.

I've been to a couple others, but more to network and meet specific [potential] clients, or our vendors who were all at one place. (PLUS, ASHRM and VCIA)

Looking at this one possibly: https://www.wcconference.com/

I understand the pricing aspect - to me the most interesting thing to understand is what is changing from the consumer side, and how their forecasts align with our actuarial pricing.

I'm sure it helps that it's in vegas!

Ha, unfortunately it's during SEMA, but agreed - that is an added bonus!

I've been to insurtech and general DS type conferences. I haven't been to the one in Vegas yet though, and that's the big one.
