I haven’t been to some of these, and I haven’t been to an IHOP in several years. Based on that limited exposure I vote Egg & I. They have a skillet thing with green chili I like, and they have eggs Benedict. Mmmmmmmm.

WhereTF is Shoney's?

Are you actually looking for breakfast chains online or are you just looking out your office window and listing places that you can see?

We also need to talk Panera. I like their sandwiches, salads, and soups. But I don’t think their breakfast is all that great. I often just get a bagel, because I don’t think the breakfast sandwiches are anything special.

Cracker Barrel seems like the most consistently good place on the list. Huddle House and Flying Biscuit are hit or miss. Bob Evan's is reliably mediocre. Most of the others I've either never eaten at or have had bad experiences and won't eat at again.

Waffle House quality is directly proportional to the amount of cigarettes the cook smokes during the preparation of your meal. Which is also why their quality has gone downhill a bit in the last decade or so since a lot of them started banning smoking inside. You can still find some gems out in the boonies though...

Because it might avoid folks complaining about the poll.

In any case I did use three lists of breakfast places to create the poll. Shoney's was not on any of those lists as it is a family restaurant that serves breakfast.
