Maybe. I actually found myself with more interviews than most others in my class. My advantage was that I had actuarial internships during the school year, which was a lot easier to do as a CAS math major than a Stern business major.

Maybe if I was at Stern, I wouldn't have bombed so many entry level interviews, but everyone has his or her learning curves.... .

I guess things are different for STEM majors lol but Stern Econ>>CAS Econ IMO

hi all!

undergrad stern alum here and having an actuarial internship during the school/summer year does help very much. I think it's one of the reasons I'm currently working in the actuarial field instead of having to look for something non-actuarial lol
