Weighing in with my two cents - I think I passed MAS-I largely because of this manual.

Don't be intimidated by the number of pages (4,000+). The presentation takes a bit of getting used to, but the thoroughness of the examples and solutions more than makes up for it over time.

Generally speaking --- if there are any syllabus changes Mahler will usually note what sections to ignore/or provide alterations. I don't think and entire new manual will be released unless there are significant changes. (More or less all of the prep materials work this way).

Check the errata to my 2018 study guide, and the solutions to the most recent exams, at my webpage.

There is no specific update to the 2018 edition.

I'd also like the weigh in on this, I used Mahler's manual and studied for about 3ish months due to a quick turnover from C in June. Although I did not pass, I ended up getting a 4. Considering the low pass rate of this particular sitting and the quick turnaround, I believe this peaks volumes to the clarity of Mr. Mahler's manual for MAS-1.

All examples are very thorough and his explanation of concepts are unmatched. I also wouldn't have passed Exam C without his sample exams, which I also recommend for MAS-1.
