Come out here to California! It's expensive but at least we don't have (much) rainy weather. And if you live near the beach you will be able to spend time outside year round. Inland, the summer gets a bit hot july-october. And there's an occasional fire so the air is bad, but whatever. It's a tradeoff.

Earthquakes and mudslides are part of the tradeoff too....

The coast is very expensive but East of the coast like Reno, Nevada is quite nice. You have very low humidity lots of sunshine, you can drive to Salt Lake, Las Vegas, Tahoe, San Francisco as well, Yosemite

So are you almost ready for the sleet/freezing rain again? It’s almost that time again. It’s been a nice adventuresome summer and Labor Day weekend is around the corner.

It's probably a good thing that Hartford area weather is turning nice again, since Hartford area parents will no longer be able to travel to places where the weather is nicer, since their spawn are being ordered back to institutions of learning.

Yet the cost of living is sky high because it’s close to New York City because Times Square has so much stuff like McDonalds and Sbarros that you just can’t get anywhere these days, ah?

CT state doesn’t have to have any improvement goals because it inherits location location location of being 2 hours from NYC and NYC is default greatest city there is because Times Square and bright lights and it will inspire you...such that people will pay $50 for 20-minutes horse carriage rides in Central Park (gratuity not included)
Hartford always sounded like an exceedingly boring place to live, full of insurance companies and ghastly stepford wives.

I'm glad that there are some weirdos like you living there.

The river is nice. Well, kinda.

Walking on the bridge over the river is nice. Thing is, there's really just USAA on the other side, so one may as well walk back. I've tried walking along the river, but the usable path isn't all that long.
