Well, in 1980 I took my entire paycheck and bought an Intellivision console ($300) and five or so games (@$30 per). Just sayin'.

It seems crazy expensive.

It looks like they don't sell the Xbox 1 (non S) anymore, and the used ones aren't that cheap, so a new one it is...

Xbox 1 S: $200 - 250, (reasonable price)

Online Subscription: $60 per year, (okay, that's the current reality)

Second Controller: $60 (WTF, how does it not come with two controllers?? okay so the system really costs ~$300 because a second controller is a must)

Games, how about Injustice 2, a good fighting game for all our testosterine: $60
...Really, game prices are still that high? Okay I'll probably only buy two or three games anyway... Oh wait here it is for $40.... No, that $40 is for extra downloadable characters you can fight with......WTF

A $250 console is fine, but paying $400 just for the bare minimum (2 controllers, a couple of games that dont even come with all their content) plus it seems they are giong to keep bleeding me dry...

Am I reading this wrong? Is it really $400-500 for a useable system even a few years after it comes out? Should I just try to get everything used?
