Not sure about renaming old sub-forum, but yes to CSPA sub-forum!

Could we perhaps have an Institutes subforum split by the various certifications? I'm interested in a few of them, like the new catastrophe analyst one as well as stuff like CPCU, AIC, etc.

IIRC, renaming/repurposing a sub-forum is a lot easier to accomplish for Tom than standing up a whole new forum/sub-fora structure.

We might start with a repurposed sub-forum using this general idea and let threads delineate topic matter for discussion.

If the traffic justifies setting up a separate section for "Other Industry Credentials", Tom will likely act at that point.

Did Tom tell you that, or are you just guessing? Because when I set up a directory structure, the difference in effort between setting up a new directory with a couple of subfolders and renaming an existing directory is trivial. and if there's any old crap in the old directory, renaming it can be harder, because the system is sometimes confused as to whether any of the old crap might be "in use".

I mean, I'm just talking about file directories, not vbulletin board fora. But your claim surprises me.

About 2/3 guessing; but I was part of the "restructuring" of the CAS Exams when they did their big changes about 8 years ago. Most of that was "renaming" sections (e.g., Exam 5 vs. Exam 6US w/i Exams-CAS). It might not be too difficult to add a new section in this context (e.g., adding new Exam 7).

But given the numerous places one can use to navigate through the AO is where I'm guessing that there is more work involved to create new Forums (e.g., CAS/SOA upper level Exams vs. the Preliminary Exams vs. Cyberchat) and sub-forums (e.g., Exams-SOA vs. Exams-CAS, etc.).

But, it seems to me it would be better to see what the needs are for this new request (specifically for CSPA) and see if there is enough traffic/demand to support branching out to create new sections for the various other "Options" as well.

To be clear: I do not have any experience with programming internet message boards. So it may not be as difficult as I'm thinking. However, I don't see a need to "add more" just to appear being efficient.
