All I'm doing is copying cell AF4, paste-special-values the thing to cell AF3, then when I hit F2 on cell AF3 in order to edit the thing, it freezes...again & again & again & again...:harrumph:

It happens if I don't his "Esc" after the pasting*...i.e., if the copied cell is still blinking like a 1980s Christmas tree. Weird.


*I think in the business they call that "Application.CutCopyMode = False".

haven't opened a single Excel file this morning. launched Excel, clicked on "Open Other Workbooks" and Excel crashed.

i do restart my machine at the end of each workday, so i was starting with fresh resources.

wtf excel, you weak

Just as I was saving at the end of the day!!!

And of course despite waiting for Excel to recover, nothing's in the damned recovery folder!!!

Whoa, it did kinda save, the sidebar popped up when I opened a new instance, all but the last few steps were saved, hallelujah!!!
