Question Valuation Programs Pricing

I've seen a few posts about the pros and cons of some popular valuation programs. ProVal seems to the industry standard, but I'm wondering how much they charge, and how do other programs compare? We're mostly a local shop, and our system is homegrown. It's awesome when you've been here for years, but now that we're growing it might be time to consider something more user (and law change) friendly.

What software did you use to build your homegrown system? Is it just excel and VBA?

Actually, we used an older language called Clipper or xBase, now under the brand name xHarbour. It works within each client's database. So each client essentially has their own program with Plan provisions, assumptions, etc.. Using excel is a viable option. But now that excel can be made compatible with F# and C#, we'd go with those languages rather than VBA. It'd be a big project to develop a universal program. One has to wonder, how much does ProVal charge for their software, and is it cheaper than developing something in-house?
