Lol what. I even have a few copies of this oversized Guy Carpenter sales brochure sitting around since my company was handing them out at some point. I'll gladly sell one of them for $848.99, take that amazon!

Venter

Stupid question: Why is adjusted SSE defined as SSE/(n-p)^2, but not SSE/(n-p). The latter makes more sense to me since it's just the RSE (Residual Standard Error) squared.

I couldn't find another place that uses Venter's version of adjusted SSE, and this makes me wonder if he came up with the formula on his own.

what's the intuition behind an additive calendar year effect? maybe if you're dealing with incurred losses and your company decides to add a flat amount of reserves to all claims?

Thoughts on when they would make a decision on a potential online sitting? If places like FL are as bad then as they are I definitely wouldn't want to be in a room with others taking an exam.

Apparently the answer to this was "20 minutes from now"

(exams online with a 11/19-12/9 test window if you haven't already heard)
