I'm on board as well for 9...though I probably won't start studying until December. Ready to wrap it up & get FCAS. Sounds like I started more recently than most of you, I took (and failed) my first exam Summer 2013.

Glad I'm not the only old guy out there! I took P as my first exam while in college in 2006. I've added a wife and three kids to the mix since. Having my own study room has become vital!

Everyone moves through at their own pace. We're all comrades at this point

Did you take a break too? I passed an exam in Fall 2009, and then through fails and taking an extended break, I didn't pass my next exam until June, 2015.

Ha, nice. I added a wife and a kid. I have an "office" at home where I'm supposed to study, but my kid doesn't believe in boundaries yet, so I have to leave the house when I need to study

Took exam P in March of 2010 while wife was pregnant with the first of three kids. I was in my 8th year of teaching at the time. It’s been a pleasure talking exam study tips with my young and single coworkers over the years. Lol

Took 1st two exams at end of and right out of college, then pursued a different career path, got married, etc. Then changed careers and applied for my 1st actuarial job after passing MFE and MLC many years later.
