Default Who's Financially Responsible

I have a question about who is financially responsible for medical costs.

My question concerns an individual who obtains medical coverage as a result of the extension of coverage to children of the subscriber who are over age 25, not in school, not a dependent, etc. Is the subscriber (employee) responsible for any deductables and/or coinsurance payments required under the plan. Or are those amounts the responsibility of the individual who incurred them. Thanks.

Whoever is responsible for the doctor bill. the insurance company is merely paying part of the bill, the patient, if over 18 (I'm guessing) is usually responsible for the bill. Many places, especially hospitals, makes someone sign for financial responsibility. Obviously, a child can't, but a 25 year old is responsible for their bills unless mom or dad volunteer to do so. Has nothing to do with copays or deductibles or any other part of insurance
