Answer key to SOA 289
How to explain actuarial exams to someone else...

Good Einstein quote - "One had to cram all this stuff into one's mind for the examinations, whether one liked it or not. This coercion had such a deterring effect on me that, after I had passed the final examination, I found the consideration of any scientific problems distasteful to me for an entire year."

Here are most of the formulas needed for the exam, including shortcuts for payment per payment distributions, mixture distributions, common conjugacy relationships, exact credibility, and several other things.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here (don't ask me why it took so long). I really appreciate the work everyone has contributed here.

Question: I know the new 2010 syllabus has a lot on it. By my estimation some of the questions are going to come from Loss Model examples and questions. Has anyone collaborated with anyone else to get a list of questions (with answers) for each important topic for each chapter? That's what I am going to do. I just wanted to know if my goal has already been accomplished.

Thanks and all the best anyone,

Those notes are fantastic, Dr. Calc. And might I say the first complete notes created since the last syllabus change... thanks for sharing. This'll help a lot of people.
