Default Python Error

Hi,

I am new to Python. When I run the code "import simpy" I get an error. I just want to import the SimPy package. I have varied the capitalizations and have tried regular Python, Spyder, and Anaconda.

Do you know what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks

Are you sure the package is included with the default installation?

Otherwise from the terminal you may need to type:
pip install simpy

If you get an error or pip is not part of your local path, then you can google how to install Python packages.

Thank you.

I am trying to do this, but when I type it in I get the following result:

The following command must be run outside of the IPython shell:

$ pip install simpy

Are you typing this in the terminal/command prompt/shell? Do. Are you typing this after you typed “python” into the command prompt? Don’t.

Also try putting into the terminal/shell
python -m pip install simpy

(Don’t type
python
into the terminal/shell before).

Warning, I’m a python newbie.
