Well I bought an LG V35 ThinQ (whatever that means) on Swappa for $370 and no tax. Can't really beat that.

I've had the Pixel 2 since launch and have had zero qualms with it. Just switched over to Project Fi today which was surprisingly easy compared to switching between other carriers. I hope it holds up when traveling domestically. I was paying $80/mo for unlimited data with Verizon and never really reached 6GB so I should be saving about $40/mo on average.

I found project fi completely awesome when i traveled. The plane landed, I turned data on, and it said, "hey, this isa different country. Data costs the same. This will take a minute to set up" and about 15 seconds later it was downloading my email.

Yeah it's great. You can also easily set up a hot spot so if you're traveling with someone they can just jump on and start using your data as well

You can also add data only Fi SIMs to your account for no fee and they only charge you for the data you use. All three of our iPads have data SIMs just in case. When the kids get phones in a couple of years, we'll probably just do data on them and use Whatsapp or something for phone calls.

Or even run your laptop off it. Yeah, that works great.

do some phone manufacturers and service providers still make hot spotting difficult or costly? i've used oneplus phones with straight talk or cricket for a few years now. hot spot is simple, fast, no extra cost

ATT makes you have their top plan to hotspot. I've been able to with 3rd party apps but they pretty actively try to curtail that.

I'm very impressed by this. My wife has iphone; I wish I could switch but the guides to do so make it seem like a pain.
