Default DePaul allumni network/career office, etc.

Any grads from DePaul want to comment on how much support you got during your job search? I have a masters in education from DePaul, and will be attempting a career switch soon.

The DePaul network was immensely helpful when I was interviewing for teaching positions in a tight job market (most teaching jobs in Chicago are getting 200+ applications.) That said, having a math certificate probably helped more.

I'm hoping to maybe be hooked up with some 1/P study partners this summer via DePaul, and maybe utilizing the DePaul network when looking for an EL position in the area.

Just an update here for any other folks with DePaul degrees:

The Career center has a councilor who handles people interested in the actuarial field, and also a councilor who handles career changers. I'm going to wait until after the holiday to talk to them, but there it is.

I am considering career change to actuarial field. Have you talked to any councilor? Do you have any tips or experiences to share?
