Which seasons was ARod performing in the playoffs and unfairly blamed for the losses? Just curious which of his successful post-seasons you're looking at as the basis for how unfair it was.

is pretty accurate.
He didn't play well in the playoffs. Yeah, we know. New York: The only city in the league where you can be judged on 5 games after being amazing for 162. They wouldn't have BEEN in the playoffs if not for A-Rod, doesn't anyone get that?

No one's told me who's going to replace him at third?

I'm still pretty sure it's Mike Lowell, but, who knows/cares. Third place next year, followed by a firing of the manager.

Pretty sure he played more than 5 playoff games in his career (although the Yankees might have been better off if that was the case). Which games was he successful in and unfairly blamed?

And, you are correct that they (probably) wouldn't have made the playoffs without him. That's what's expected when you're the highest-paid player on the highest payroll team.

You're right. He's the only one that deserves any blame.

Oh wait, no, he's the only one that GETS any. I'm okay with blaming him, and being unhappy with 4th in the league (hell, with that payroll, I'd turn the whole TEAM over if I didn't get a WS every year), but no one admits that with him, they were a 3rd place team in the East this year.

ARod was actually OK earlier in his career and went WAY downhill starting with last 4 games in 2004. Only 1 RBI in 17 games since (meaningless solo shot against Cle this year)
