Yahoo says the wind was blowing 7 mph in from right. Peavy only gave up 1 homer- the leadoff one from Soriano. It seemed like the Cubs were just making alot of good contact. We'll take it. There are few things better than hearing Pat Hughes say, "CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!"

And the Brewers blew it in the 9th (again)

Why talk about the brewers as if they're a threat? we're in 4th place, you can't possibly be worried about them.

Oh yeah, and that's what happens when you use closer by committee. It doesn't work. It's never worked.

3rd place finish at best for the Brewers this year. Stupid busted prospects and bad free agents.

Probably just Gorzelanny is sick of facing the Cubs:

Gorzelanny ERA vs. Cubs: 25.20

I think this is just going to get worse after surrendering 6 more runs...

Soriano is unbelievably hot right now...

and Derrek Lee is equally cold.

Before the game on May 10, Soriano was batting .191 and Derrek Lee was batting .322.

At this moment, Soriano is batting .301 and Lee is batting .291.

What a crazy game.
