You didn't say that - you said playoffs.

Exactly. No All star appearances -> not HOFer

Right exhibition game appearances are so much more important than title rings.

This exhibition game is a reprentation of greatness that Horry isn't getting and the more deserving players are.

Most players in the HOF have several all-star appearances as well as perhaps titles.

If titles are the primary measure of getting in the HOF

Karl Malone doesn't get in

John Stockton doesn't get in

Charles Barkley doesn't get in

along with several others

The exhibition game is a reflection of how stupid fans vote. NBA fans are pretty dumb. You might also see the accompanying thread on stupid sports fans and who the leading vote getter for NL OF is.

Forget the fan voting for a second

The coaches pick the reserves.

Robert Horry is a role player. Cerainly a good role player but, role players generally don't get into the HOF

This is a GREAT website...look at the bottom for his HOF score and comparison to other players...none of whom are in the hall.

Note that this site has Reggie Miller as just under the HOF bubble...and I agree with that assessment...and Rodman is even further under the bubble.
