Default Spring 2019 CAS Exam 9 Progress Thread

Might as well get this started. Not sure when I'll start. Maybe September? Will the syllabus be out? Are we expecting many updates?

I'm thinking late December.....maybe early December....idk. Maybe I will just start to casually read BKM in the Fall.

Let's do this! #Hawaii2019

I really hope there is no significant syllabus change.

Here's list of study materials that I'm aware of.

1. TIA - Wasn't fan of Angelo's TIA 6, but there isn't really alternative for comprehensive study package.
2. Crystal Clear - Seems new. I think I read somewhere this was good supplement to TIA. (manual + problems?)
3. RF Cookbook - Steve is planning to release this for 2019 exam.
4. Goldfarb - Had good reviews for his manual but outdated. See below for sections that are still relevant.
5. Fox Flashcards - Discontinued. Flashcards in PDF format still being sold. Not up to date with current materials but still has fair amount of relevant materials and they had good reviews historically. I might consider picking this up depending on quality of TIA flashcards.
6. ACTEX - I don't think ACTEX gets any love after prelims.

edit:
7. MathTiger - Seems like Practice exam sets only.
8. ALL 10

Let me know if you want me to modify/add other materials.

9/28/2018 edit: see https://imgur.com/M6fJBCA for 2016 to 2017 syllabus change. Does not reflect 2018 syllabus yet. Use this table if you plan to use Goldfarb manual/Fox flashcards and supplement missing sections with other study source.

CC is good, especially the original problems. It's probably worth the money for that alone.

Also MathTiger's exams

I'm in. I'll likely review the material once a month to keep it relatively fresh before picking up my study time in December.

CC's website doesn't show Exam 9 right now. Maybe Crystal is editing the 2018 manual.
