Yes. Being smug on the internet. And with coworkers.

I prefer the blue switch, which has a nice loud clackety-clack. Pretty sure it drives my cellmates mad, but it's such a satisfying sound...

Yes. A labeled keyboard is like a labeled guitar, or a labeled piano...

Or a labeled set of wrenches.

I've an office, but I do often type while on a call. And, if I'm careful, I can make minimal noise with the brown switches.

Looking at the keyboard for some of the symbols is understandable, though. I have a hard time remembering where } vs ] are, since I rarely use either, and also |.
huh, never noticed that. I suppose with training I could get to where I feel for those faster than I can just glance down but I probably won't bother

Other than bragging rights, it makes it easy to re-assign the "special" keys without being confusing. Also easier to re-assign the keyboard to DVORAK. (or is that a composer? Oh well, you know what I mean.)

This.

I voted "yes", but in fact I look rarely -- mostly when I notice that I've drifted to one side or the other and all my keystrokes are wrong.

If you can't type perfectly on a blank keyboard without fumbling around to start, you really should be voting 'yes.'

well, I voted the way CS thinks I should have. I rarely look, so if y'all want to mentally move my over-40 vote, to match milder standards, go for it.
