Maybe your OS doesn't require tapatalk to request forum to allow for push notifications.

My pages (in gingerbread) all look completely different from yours. I do have a settings option tucked into the menus. One of the options there (and I seem to have a lot more options than you) is "Receive Notification". I definitely get Tapatalk notifications on my gadget. I ALSO get email notification for some fora I've subscribed to, and not for others. That's a setting within the forum, not within Tapatalk, I think. Within Tapatalk, I can pick, by forum (by which I mean, the "Actuarial Outpost", or "XDA-Developers", or...) whether I want Tapatalk notifications for PMs and/or for subscribed topics, and how often to check. In addition to the little notification in the Android notification bar, it offers to let me pick a ring tone and make the phone vibrate, but I have never been that anxious to get Tapatalk updates, and just have it show on the notification bar.

I am surprised this doesn't work in you, since my phone and OS are older, and presumably less full-featured.

you have iOS, not Android? That might be the difference. I definitely get Tapatalk notifications on my phone.

I've seen other forums where I could get these, for instance PhsycsForum, so the option seems to exist on Tapatalk for iPhone, but Tapatalk suggested I contact forum admin.
