This guy created a retro computer from Raspberry Pi:

It's a show called The Ben Heck Show and it's not just some hooligan off the street filming the process on a cellphone. It's produced and the guy knows his stuff.

Ben Heck does some amazing stuff. You should check out his XboX and PS3 laptops. The basically strips out the innards of the console and makes a case out of the console exterior. Crazy stuff.

So I hooked it up and got OpenELEC running nicely. Looks great on my 1080p TV. Unfortunately, I don't have my 100ft ethernet cable out of boxes yet, so I can't get it online. Probably will be able to this weekend.

Did some research and it looked like OpenELEC was much more stable than RBMC. They are both XBMC variants.

I've worked on my bike at our new house in week as much as I did in 4 years at our condo. Having the dedicated space is nice.

Sharpening lawn mower blades, making tomato plant cages from bits of wire fencing, fixing bicycles, cleaning computers . . . nothing like it.

You should start a "What do I need in my workshop" thread to let us all design an impossible dream one for you.

Oh I'm still years away from a house, but I guess it's not too early to start thinking.
