Like you, this was the first or second one I faced and he seemed really tough. Unlike you, I just kept trying and trying and eventually got him.
Thanks, I had like level 3 armor at the time, it probably won't be that tough anymore especially with a handful of fairies and Mipha's grace. Must have died 30 times before I gave up.

The camel gannon gave me fits the first time. Went and got the elephant "revive" and the master sword, and then smoked him.

Block his 1st round attack with your shield, hit him 3 times which stuns him, hit him 3 times, repeat. At 50% he changes tactics, you gotta figure that part out, then repeat the process once he goes back to his old ways.

Once you decide to take it slow and figure him out, he is actually pretty simple. Although he is still the hardest by far of the 4 divine beasts.

Mipha's grace kinda makes the game pretty easy in general.

If I'm not confusing Beasts, the second half of the fight I believe involves:
Spoiler:
Magnesis to grab one of the lightning rods and use the boss' electricity against him to stun and get in some hits.

You're right. I got to that part several times but could never finish him off.

Which big Nintendo IP is due for a refresh soon? I imagine they'll have a limited edition switch to go along with it
