If they weren't having stock issues, I'd agree. I also think the design of the Switch doesn't really call for special designs. Besides, if my twitter is indicative of general consumer, the IP-themed Joy-Cons and Pro Controllers are doing gangbusters and might be the way Nintendo goes with that sort of thing. So many people are loving the Neon Pink/Green Splatoon controllers.

I saw some company charging $200 for NES customized Joy-Cons. Now I'm not paying that much, but if Nintendo puts out something similar for a reasonable price, I'd be all over that.

I personally like the neon yellow controllers. But I'd be surprised if the prices for any of these controllers are "reasonable"... $50 for one side of a plain black controller. $70 for a pro controller. $80 for both sides of a plain black controller (no grip - that's $15 more), but I've had a hard time finding a box of two in stock locally.

Apparently they're competing with Apple for components and flash memory.

Did you miss the whole Amiibo shortage? As well as the NES classic shortage? This is pretty typical for Nintendo.

lol Amiibos are such a scam. People will buy anything.

Just seems weird that I have had mine long enough to get bored with it and they are still trying to get them out. So that means it will be a long time before they are able to focus on getting the game library to stop being so mediocre. AND if they do get a good library up, they will probably go back to console shortages.

Picked up an extra joy con set as well as ARMS and Splatoon 2. Both games are excellent, ARMS is a solid party game if you need to entertain.

Getting used to the motion controls on Splatoon 2, but so far the online play has been extremely fun. Haven't tried the single player campaign yet.

My son tells me every time they put out a new color of joy con, like it's a news flash. I'm like, who the hell cares, it's just a color (I don't say this)

I know someone who has literally every Amiibo. They just sit on a shelf, taking up space.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan, and I only have two Amiibo that I got incidentally, through the purchase of a game that came with them. I think they're kind of ugly.

I like Nintendo's art and I wouldn't be opposed to framing some Nintendo artwork and hanging it on a wall, but the second it starts taking up three dimensional space, get it out of here!
