As I recall, they actually got a lot of the stuff on the board right.

At least, the material "on display" is on the same topic (I believe it was graph theory in one scene). . . might have to watch it again to see if I notice anything new.

Reminds me of laughing at a the physics jokes on Big Bang Theory, not because they said something complicated and nerdy.

Yeah . . . the "content" of the nerdiness is a key part of much of the humor on TBBT (especially in the early seasons).

However, the "math content" of GWH isn't all that critical to the plot of the main story arc. Or even any of the sub-plots. So props to the director/producer of GWH for at least putting "relevant" things in the "background".

If you spend $x to hunt, kill, and bag a deer but you could've bought the same amount of venison & a taxidermied head for $y where $y < $x is $x-$y considered the Hunting Goodwill?

I looked through the list of all other Miramax films and thankfully this is the only one I liked, so I don't have to worry about the rest. But I liked it a lot and it pains me to drop it.
