I am not at all surprised, though. I am glad they are making it a fall sitting, at least.

Yeah, I'm happy that we finally have a decision and I know they are dealing with a lot of uncertainty. They alluded to a decision to try to ensure that exams are offered in October no matter what's going on with the pandemic. As long as I can take the exam then, that will be mission accomplished.

Also, I hope that they are planning to offer 7/9 (and probably 8 again) in the Spring of 2021.

7/9 offered twice is very likely. 8 is probably something being discussed and less likely.

I'd be shocked if a Spring 8 happened unless Fall gets canceled too, but I would imagine a Spring 7&9 is likely just to get things back on normal rotation.

It sounded like one of the motivations for just canceling now was so they could focus on the logistics of holding 7&9 in the fall right away, instead of having to scramble for it if they ended up having to cancel spring exams later anyway. Since it increases the odds that I won't have to wait until 2021, I'm okay with this decision. There are also two silver linings here:

1) If you fail, a six-month turnaround to remember material and reattempt instead of a full year is pretty awesome for a fellowship exam.

2) If you pass and this is your last exam, you're going to Disney World instead of D.C.
