I never knew UWI even had an actsci program?

But the opportunities for actuaries are pretty good in JA based on my relatives out there. Have a few extended family friends who are actuaries in JA, making good coin. Just have to deal with dem damn hurricanes.

I saw a lot of amazing opportunities for Florida on www.casact.org "job postings section"

A couple companies even offered you shares in the start up insurance company, which can pay huge dividends if the company is successful. Else, can take a safer job with some of the bigger players, and still make decent coin.

From retirement communities like Pensacola, to Fort Lauderdale, all over Florida has insurance companies. Which surprises me, since the office buildings may get hit by storms/hurricanes. I would think the companies would move their operations to the Insurance capital of the U.S. (Hartford).

That is great. Jamaica has actuaries. Do you know if there are job opportunities for actuaries in Cuba?

Were you a part of the group of UWI graduates who were hired en masse by Watson Wyatt a few years ago?
