LastPass Families

https://blog.lastpass.com/2017/07/fr...tal-life.html/

Basically, it is a way for everyone in your family to get a premium account separately, but for a cheaper price. Very interested in this in the future as our kids get to be a bit older (still not there yet at age 8, 8, and 4).

I like the idea. But the 6 month trial before they'll quote a price is extremely annoying. In my head, that translates to "This is gonna be so expensive that there's no way you would have even considered trying it if you had known the price beforehand".

Yeah, I asked in the comments how much it would be, but my comment is awaiting moderation. I don't expect it to be published, which is pretty annoying.

I will disagree though. I expected family plans for Google Music and Spotify to barely be a good deal, but most of them ended up allowing up to 6 family members for $5 more than a single person. I'm hoping this will be similar.

Currently my wife and I share a single premium account, but she doesn't like to put work stuff in there for security reasons. It would be nice to have this so we could each have private things in our own vaults (mostly our work stuffs), but have most of the common things (finances, travel, etc) shared. Plus as mentioned, the kids will be starting to need such a thing in the next 5 years or so.

Know of any bookmark synchronizers?
Quote:
Xmarks update On May 1, 2018, we will be shutting down Xmarks. Your account will remain active until then, including the syncing of your bookmarks. After that date, your bookmarks should remain in any previously accessed browser, but they will no longer sync and your account will be deactivated.

At LastPass, we’ve staked our claim in password management, and providing our community with a high level of password security. After careful consideration and evaluation, we have decided to discontinue the Xmarks service so that we can continue to focus on offering the best possible password vaulting to our community.

On behalf of the entire LastPass and Xmarks team, we wanted to thank you for your support over the years.

I haven't actually used a bookmark manager in years. Chrome keeps my history from, umm, forever or so. Stuff I'm going to read later goes into Pocket. RSS goes through Feedly.

Do you have a specific use for Xmarks?

Pinboard would be my other recommendation probably.

I just like to be able to access my bookmarks/favorites from whatever computer I'm using.

Looks like Sync might work for me.
