that being said haven't played much of the expac so far. not sure if it's just because I'm burnt out on HS or if I don't like playing against pally decks

I just started playing Hearthstone a couple of days ago. It is a lot of fun. Can anyone recommend a good deck for a new player that has played other card games semi-competitevly?

I've had decent success with the following deck I found randomly online, but it doesn't even have a legendary.

Is there a way to see your win/loss rate with a deck?

### Custom Mage
# Class: Mage
# Format: Standard
# Year of the Raven
#
# 2x (1) Arcane Artificer
# 2x (1) Mana Wyrm
# 2x (2) Arcanologist
# 1x (2) Flame Geyser
# 2x (2) Lesser Ruby Spellstone
# 2x (2) Shimmering Tempest
# 2x (3) Arcane Intellect
# 2x (3) Counterspell
# 1x (3) Ice Barrier
# 1x (3) Igneous Elemental
# 2x (4) Leyline Manipulator
# 2x (4) Steam Surger
# 1x (4) Tol'vir Stoneshaper
# 2x (4) Water Elemental
# 2x (5) Bonfire Elemental
# 2x (5) Servant of Kalimos
# 2x (6) Blizzard

# To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

There’s s list of budget decks for each class floating around somewhere. I think many people track their win rates and deck stats with a third party program like hearthstone deck tracker(?)

As for getting started I’d recommend getting a simple deck for each class together and knockout your daily quests for gold and exposure to the different play styles. Arena is fun if limited formats are your thing but I’d recommend using a guide like heartharena to guide your picks at least initially.

Thanks! I mostly play on an ipad so I can't run other apps. I bought $40 worth of the latest expansion. Which packs would be the best investment now?

Classic packs are definitely the way to build your collection up. Classic is the evergreen set, the largest set, and quite powerful still. Level up at least one character to twenty so you can access the Tavern brawl which gives you one pack for free each week.

Also make sure you play through the solo adventure for knights of the frozen throne, you'll get a free legendary for doing so. Also each set has a guaranteed legendary in your first 10 packs. I don't know if the mammoth bundle is still available but that was a good deal, 10 packs of each set.

Welcome bundle is also great value.
