actually, thanks for the heads-up on the coupons. that's a rather sweet discount.
again, you can send me half the savings...

seriously, there is nothing this remote can't handle.
it'll take some patience to get it all set up, but you'll always be learning new things that you can do. I got the remote almost a year ago and I just added new activities this week for my iPod and the Sleep Timer. It's great. If you have questions, the support forums on the logitech site are pretty helpful, but I'll field questions too.

I'll slowly convert everyone to the 880

This baby came in the mail last night.

Very very easy initial set up but when I went to do things like 'add favorite channels' I got a little lost. (Thought I entered them but couldn't figure out how to get to it on the remote afterwards)

Also had troubles getting back to a screen (favorite channels for example) on the website once I left it.

And the contact customer support came up very often when I was trying to navigate and do things on my own.

All in all the remote is great, so far. It's already replaced my other 4 remotes and I can do everything those could.

the website isn't the easiest to navigate. it will take a little while to figure things out.

http://forums.logitech.com/?l=EN&c=USA
is helpful...
http://www.squareworld.com/harmony/
has images that you can use for the favorite channels.

FYI, to get to the favorite channels section of the website, from the screen with the devices and activities listed, there is a link under the "Watch TV" activity for me labeled "Set Up Favorite Channels"

Is your interface different?
What things were telling you to contact customer support? I never got that message.

Let me know if you have specific questions.

Great so far, but I still only have the basics set up. Will add some more stuff this weekend.

One thing I do notice is there seems to be some 'lag' compared to the other remote. For example when Fast Forwarding in TiVo when the show starts up again and I hit 'play' it takes longer for the Fast Forwarding to stop.

sorry I didn't answer this earlier, burried in the troubleshooting you can reduce the number of times commands are sent, this helps reduce some lag

also, there are delays for the power on sequences that you can adjust for those lags....

if you have other issues you want to resolve, the logitech support forums and the tech support are both good resources

Missed this one, too. Sorry.

I screwed up the order...Bought the dell coupon on ebay, was ready to go, and I think I got interrupted mid-checkout (i was at work). I don't really know. I thought I had finished. 5 days later it hadn't arrived so I called Dell to see what was going on and they had no record of the order. By that time, the special was over and I was out of luck.

If you happen to see it on sale again, let me know.
