Default Fortnite

My kids introduced me to this last weekend. I played on Xbox, but as I am not a regular Xbox player, I was slow on learning the controls. It's also cross-platform. So as I was on X-box, my son was playing the same game with me from a windows laptop.

For those of you who don't know: It's a 1st person shooter MOBA. Every game starts with 100 people and the last one alive wins. You can play individually, or in pairs, or in squads (of 4 I think). Games are a quick 20 minutes or less.

Anyway, it's a hot game right now.
The arena is a large island with several towns and random scattered weapons and loot. A series of "storms" happen at regular intervals that force the playing arena to shrink, forcing more interaction and speeding the game along.

I am on the waiting list for the IOS version. They are controlling access, and they said it could be months before I get it. Also, not every Apple product can run the game. It has to be a recent phone or ipad to have the processing power.

Anyone play and want to squad up? My gamer tag is FCAS_TCBY

I played it, still don't know the controls

Maybe one night when I'm taking a study break you'll see me s0ljahboi on psn

I read that Drake plays it, it's really popular now. I think I saw some mention about a mobile version

Best I can tell it's a more kid-friendly version of PUBG? Started playing that some since I've exhausted patience with the CoD ppl to come out with something playable on a consistent basis.

It definitely less serious than PUBG. (people squad up and snipe while riding a missile fired from their friend - much more cartoonish)
From what I've heard, it's also much less buggy than PUBG.

Some of the guys I used to game with, who are much more serious about it than I these days, are decidedly split between the two. Can confirm PUBG is buggy af, if nothing else.
