All this tells me is that the author (or the folks hired by the author) feel that this sort of crap is a good idea.

If someone ever asks me about this book, I'm much more likely to tell them about this thread than I'm going to remember anything good about the book.

I'm judging the cover of the book where it says "FCAS" but none of the authors are credentialed members of the CAS.

I'm also not a fan of the downward movements in the graph on the cover. I prefer methods that are strictly increasing, given that y-axis.

That's how you pass exams so quickly! No one (usually) checks credentials.
