SLC and Indianapolis are not Po'.

If a city has the economy to support a pro NBA, MLB, or NFL team, it's not Po'.

So's Indianapolis, but I knew that already. I recently saw a list of 20 cities where one can "live well" on $60K. We were in the top 10.

Not a fan of this definition.
Houston? Minneapolis? Denver? Phoenix.

Minn is.

Denver is kind of in the middle.

For that reason, greater caution is called for when dealing with a stupid person than with a malicious one".

What field are you in, and do you think that has anything to do with it? I wonder if what you're seeing would be more likely in one field.

Houston is not Po'. It's like the fourth largest city in the country.

The rest are pretty much Po's, although, I've never been there.

Phoenix is 12th in metro area population, so there are at most 11 non-Po areas in the US?

Population correlates with non-po'-ness but isn't always an indicator. Out of the top 20 I would consider NYC, Chicago, Miami, Boston, SFO, and Seattle to be non-po.

LA is most definitely po', even though it's the 2nd largest city in the US.

Other examples of non-po cities would be London, Moscow, Shanghai, Berlin, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Chongqing.

Two really useful all-purpose responses. Use one or both:
